Alaina opted for a newlywed session a few weeks after her & Jonathans wedding. She wanted to spend more time on her wedding day enjoying the day as it came. So scheduling this session it gave her that freedom but also the promise of more photos and another opportunity to wear her gorgeous dress. I LOVE THIS IDEA! So much that I wrote it in all caps.
Talk about a small world…I came across Akii’s instagram a few months ago & it turns out she’s originally from a small town 45 minutes from where I live. Crazy! Below are some of my favorite images from our time in JTree. We actually met up to shoot this summer in Nashville and five minutes into the shoot the sky fell out. So I made a point to set up a time for us to shoot the next time I was out her way in LA.

I can’t remember when but I remember that I was cooking dinner when I received this photo from Natalie who said she had just said yes to Jeremy in Venice, Italy and wanted information on pricing & for me to be their photographer. I was SO excited because they were such a cute & fun couple that I met at Jessica & Sonnys wedding a few months before! As soon as I met Natalie for a wedding consult & had the chance to get to know her better; it was like gaining a new friend. She’s amazing in so many ways to make it short. She’s such a go getter and an incredible encourager. (Because y’all need to hurry up and see how hype their reception was.)
I loved hearing Jeremy tell the story about how they met at work. He doesn’t even like coffee but would always go and get coffees for him & Natalie so he’d have a reason to talk to her. I’m also not a fan of coffee so I know that is a real love!
Fast forward to their wedding day. It did nothing but rained. ALL day. It was still beautiful. Natalie & Jeremy truly made the most of it & loved as hard as it rained. Below is their gorgeous day full of love and excitement.

Instagram is an amazing place. I’ve had the privilege to connect with so many people who have been such a joy to meet & come to know. Paola is a super talented blogger, marketing professional, and so so beautiful. Jorge is an incredible musician who’s incredibly smart with a compassionate heart. Their friend Anthony came along to help document the afternoon. Anthony is also incredibly talented, a world traveler, and entrepreneur. How awesome are these three? AND to say they have a love for life lightly puts it. They’re as joyful as they are beautiful. Thank you IG Gods for the connection!

Family photos don’t have to be stressful. Just one outfit that has coordinating but contrasting colors and throw in some pretty light? You’ve got yourself a great session. I loved getting to work with these darlings and their sweet babies! That golden sun with those beautiful late summer/early fall color palette? I’m living for it!
I knew from the moment I met Ryanne at Dinos Dive Bar in East Nashville she and Matt were cool people. We had grilled cheese and talked photos with Three Six Mafia playing in the background. I love people who are so easy going.
So when we were running behind for photos on their wedding day, it was no big deal. We just pulled over where the sun was shining just right. We celebrated there with a quick smoke & drink. We had dinner at In N Out in true west coast fashion. Followed by saying I Do with Elvis officiating a beautiful ceremony. Heres the highlights from Ryanne & Matt’s Vegas Elopement.

For Rachel & Brandon we decided to meet in Zion National Park for their engagement session. I was on my yearly south west/ California trip when I stopped to meet them. At the time Zion was doing construction when Rachel & Brandon got caught up in the traffic. We had planned to take a short hike that looked over the park. But with the traffic we didnt get to. However lucky for us, Zion is beautiful from every angle. I loved seeing all of the fall colors in Zion. Makes me want to go back like right now..
