There were two things I wanted to do. Go to Costa Rica & shoot in Jaco. The power of Instagram is real. I found the most amazing model, Helena & makeup artist, Tamera from hash tags. We met in San Jose then road tripped to Jaco for photos. These ladies are insanely talented and so much fun to talk to. See more from our shoot below.
I met Landon years ago at the second wedding I shot. Landon is the kind of guy you feel like you’ve known since high school and then later realize; no you really met at a wedding because he’s just that nice & makes you feel like you’ve known each other for a long time.
Same for his fiancé Courtney. We met at their engagement session. When she pulled up in a SUV with a tiny sloth sticker on it. I knew then she was a friend of mine. So naturally, we’ve been friends since.
I’ve loved getting to know and be friends with these two. So meeting up for their maternity session was the best. These two becoming parents? The sweetest & so exciting.

I met Kristen when I was shooting a wedding a few years back. She’s an incredible person and stylist. You’ll see me photograph her from time to time. Sometimes when you find a person who’s great to work with you keep it going! Go see her at her salon in East Nashville Fawkes.
I met Joanna & Kenston at a local coffee shop for their wedding consult. I had my website pulled up as we were talking. We were dreaming up their engagement photos and what we might do for them. Joanna looks over at the photo that had flashed up at the screen and says where is this I want to do our photos, wherever this is. I tell her Coal Miner Canyon out on Navajo land. I said it light heartedly thinking we'd never go to the desert for engagement photos. However, Joanna surprised me and before I know it Kenston is on board & we're looking for the perfect desert location. Turns out Valley of Fire was that location for us.
Next thing I know we're all sharing a pretty house right outside of Vegas riding ATV's in the desert, celebrating a proposal & marriage all in one day, & ending a great weekend with such a fun engagement session. (And yes I will blog that proposal/wedding soon too) I just absolutely love happy go lucky, spur of the moment, trust in me kind of clients. Your photos end up looking a lot like this.
